Maurice L. Naylon IV, CPA ("Chipp")
Founder & President
Walutes Capital, LLC

Upon graduating from the United States Naval Academy and commissioning into the Marine Corps, Chipp learned of the Department of Veterans Affairs home loan program and the benefit it provided service members.  Using this loan to buy his first townhouse (located on Walutes Circle), Chipp began his real estate journey.

After nearly a decade of service in the Marines - and with a portfolio of investment properties acquired during that time - Chipp “hung up the boots” and began his civilian career in real estate development, asset management, and accounting.

To augment his personal real estate experience, Chipp returned to school, completing both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting.  Concurrently, he had the tremendous opportunity to work as an Asset Management Accountant at The Monument Companies, a leading real estate development, construction, and property management firm in Richmond, Virginia.  In this capacity, Chipp gained invaluable experience in commercial real estate development, asset management, real estate accounting information systems, historic tax credit investing, and the reporting requirements necessary to support the full spectrum of real estate stakeholders.

Following his time at Monument and licensure as a CPA, Chipp founded Walutes Capital as a vehicle to translate his knowledge and experience into real estate development, asset management, and accounting services for others.  Chipp firmly believes in the wealth-building value of real estate, and he’s committed to providing investors of all levels the support they need to realize this value.

In his free time, Chipp loves to travel with his wife, Jenna, and write about their adventures. Heading overseas? Here's an international travel checklist to help you plan!
